Successfully tests StreetMan CMS with five different gateways using TALQ Smart City Protocol

FREMONT, CA, October 12, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Dhyan Networks and Technologies Inc. (Dhyan), the device management experts, today announced that during the recent TALQ Plugfest, they successfully demonstrated their StreetMan CMS (central management system) working seamlessly with smart streetlight gateways from Flashnet, Itron, LuxSave, Paradox and Sicom.

“Cities are no longer locked into a single vendor’s solution for smart street lighting but can choose from many different vendors, all of them controlled by StreetMan – a single, state-of-the-art CMS that is intuitive and easy to use,” said Prakash Ramadass, Dhyan VP Smart Cities.

With a patented user interface, StreetMan is easy to learn and use. In addition, with Dhyan taking full ownership of the migration, the switch to StreetMan is straightforward and painless. Progressive cities such as Portland and Scarborough in Maine have already made the switch to StreetMan, and Stephen Buckley, Deputy Director of Public Works at Scarborough, had the following to say: “StreetMan’s GUI (user interface) is intuitive and easy to use, and we are impressed at the depth of the information it provides.”

Dhyan has been providing device management software for over 15 years to technology companies that cater to customers in the telecom, IoT and smart grid markets.

A cloud-based SaaS product, StreetMan is technology-agnostic and vendor-neutral, with built-in support for several industry standard protocols such as TALQ, OSCP, MQTT, HTTP and communication technologies such as Zigbee, LoRa, NB-IoT, Powerline, Cellular, etc. It lets cities and municipalities manage, monitor, and control a variety of smart street assets such as streetlights, cameras, access points, charging stations, billboards, and IoT sensors.

The Dhyan family of central management software for the IoT market consists of StreetMan for managing smart streetlights, LightMan for managing smart area lights such as in campuses, buildings, and warehouses, and CitiMan for managing smart city IoT assets.

About the TALQ Consortium
Founded in 2012, the TALQ Consortium is establishing a globally accepted standard for management software interfaces to control and monitor heterogeneous smart city applications. The TALQ Smart City Protocol is a specification for information exchange, suitable for implementation in various products and systems. This way interoperability between Central Management Software (CMS) and Outdoor Device Networks (ODN) from different vendors will be enabled, such that a single CMS can control different ODNs in different parts of a city or region.

TALQ is an open industry consortium currently consisting of about 50 member companies.
