Walter Delph, co-founder of Boston Consulting Group’s celebrated tech incubator Digital Ventures, has become the Chief Business Officer of Magic Leap, the fast-growing virtual reality company.
PLANTATION, FL, October 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ — He joins Peggy Johnson, who left Microsoft earlier this summer to become CEO of the technology start-up. As Chief Business Officer, Walter will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Company’s business teams including Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Sales, Business Development, and M&A. Magic Leap was founded in 2010 and has attracted investors including Google, Alibaba and AT&T. The firm’s virtual reality technology makes it possible for businesses to engage in spatial computing anywhere in the world and promises to deliver huge cost savings on training and travel while significantly reducing their carbon footprint.

Delph’s appointment comes as the company shifts its focus to providing businesses with solutions and services to enable them to deliver specialised skills training in medicine, manufacturing, defence and other areas.
Delph previously worked at Boston Consulting Group where he co-founded Digital Ventures, BCG’s tech incubator which became the fastest growing division in the firm’s history.
He now serves on the boards of several companies in the US, Europe and in Asia and is passionate about promoting racial equality in corporate America.
