Rogue Space Systems Corporation, a space startup, and developer of a fleet of satellite servicing spacecrafts, announced today that it will accept Bitcoin and Ethereum on its crowdfunding offering on truCrowd.com
LACONIA, NH, June 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Rogue Space Systems Corporation is now accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrency from non-accredited and accredited investors on truCrowd.com for their CF offering to support the development of its OrbotTM spacecraft programs.
Established in 2020, Rogue Space is building a fleet of Orbital Robots (OrbotsTM) equipped with highly sophisticated sensors, cameras, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) software to bring about their first generation of orbital servicing vehicles. Rogue Space recently also announced partnerships with NanoAvionics, Dawn Aerospace, and AGI, an Ansys company, for its OrbotTM spacecraft programs.
“I started Rogue Space because I wanted to build a community. Equity crowdfunding is the ultimate personification of building that community, by tapping into the people and passions that surround space,” adds Jeromy Grimmett, Rogue Space CEO. “By adding Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrency as an investment option to our truCrowd.com offering, we are further empowering individuals, both accredited and non-accredited investors, to have ownership and participate in the Rogue Space community. Our hope is that all investors will have a true sense of inclusion and that we give everyone an opportunity to join us on this adventure into space. After all, space is and should be for everyone.”
In December of 2020, Rogue entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (“CRADA”) with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate, Geospace Technologies Division. The CRADA focuses on research areas of combined sensing and propulsion capabilities, as well as enabling the examination of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components to determine their feasibility for future space applications on a proliferated architecture. Rogue is on schedule to deliver a demonstration mission for their Laura-1 spacecraft in the Summer of 2022 in cooperation with AFRL.
