Will Discuss Push To Have Ohio Adopt Resolution Calling For Term Limits For Congress

MANHATTAN, IL, April 27, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — U.S. Term Limits Ohio State Chair Bernie Moreno will be the featured speaker at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner held by the Wayne County Republican Party on April 29th. The event is being held at the Greystone Event Center, 50 Riffel Rd, Wooster, OH 44691 starting at 6:30 PM ET. Moreno will discuss the efforts underway to get the Ohio legislature to adopt a resolution calling for national convention under Article V to pass a constitutional amendment for congressional term limits.

My job is to make sure their voice is heard in Columbus and Ohio adopts a resolution calling for an amendment-proposing convention for an Article V convention for proposing a Congressional Term Limits. It is essential that Ohio acts on passing term limits for Congress.”

A recent poll conducted by Scott Rasmussen showed that 82% of Americans favor term limits for Congress. Broken down by party lines, 87% of Republicans favored congressional terms limits; 83% of Democrats favored term limits; and 78% of Independents favored the idea.

U.S Term Limits advocates the following proposal for congressional term limits: for For the House of Representatives, limiting members to three terms (6 years), and for the Senate it should be two terms (12 years).
