Wireless, portable system uses lights and sensors with 100+ exercises to help users increase agility, reaction time and more

MARCH 23, 2017 – The team at BlazePod has officially announced their brand new, innovative system, allowing anyone, from fitness enthusiasts to elite athletes to improve their performance down to the millisecond.

BlazePod is the first Flash Reflex training system for everyone, offering pods with sensors, connectivity and embedded lighting that directs users’ workouts. When each pod lights up, it prompts the user to move.  The pods are designed to flawlessly integrate into exercises, pushing users to work on their reaction time and reflexes, as well as agility, speed, balance, and stamina.

BlazePods can be integrated into more than 100 exercises, and according to the company, more exercises will be automatically and wirelessly uploaded to the system over time. The new product, which is designed to “supercharge workouts with bursts of light”, offers an alluring appeal for individual fitness enthusiasts and fitness trainers alike.

No matter their skill level, BlazePod users can use the system to workout anytime, anywhere.

“For years, Flash Reflex exercise was for pro athletes only, complex to operate and priced at thousands of dollars. BlazePod is here to change that”, says Yaniv Shneiderman, founder, and CEO of BlazePod. “BlazePod started as a fun side project. One of my best friends, who’s a personal trainer, asked me to create a light system to help him train his students. I love tech challenges, it’s both my profession and my hobby, so I decided to go for it. He uploaded a video of the workout on Facebook, and I got a bunch of requests for the system. I explained it’s not a product, but people kept on asking, so I decided to make it one.”

With BlazePod, users get to enjoy a whole new perspective of their usual workouts. Users can run through different training modules and measure their performance down to the millisecond. With built-in analytics, BlazePod measures result so that trainees can use that data to further enhance their performance.

According to Shneiderman, one of the most appealing features of the innovative fitness product is that it has a modular design, it works with as few as 2 pods and up to 24 at a time. BlazePod units can be placed on poles, fences, trees, doors, mirrors, and windows. The BlazePod accessories include suction cups and straps, as well as a bag for storage and a charger that can charge up to six units at once. Whether users want to hone in on stamina, agility, strength, core, or balance, BlazePod offers it all.

Fitness and sports tech is a rapidly-expanding market, with experts crediting it as one of the key reasons for Team USA’s enormous success at the 2016 Rio Olympics, held in Brazil. As the trend for wearable tech continues to expand, BlazePod is blazing its own trail ahead of the pack—and into the parks, homes and backyards of fitness enthusiasts across the world.

BlazePod has launched a Kickstarter campaign in which backers will get the chance to get the product first. When Kickstarter backers support BlazePod, they can receive a number of exclusive perks. Some of the advantages backers will receive include over 40% discount off the retail price and all the exercises on the app for free. After the campaign, every exercise will be sold individually.

BlazePod starts at $119 on Kickstarter.
