Lam’s Leadership and Experience Expected to Scale Pacific Bridge Arts’ Mission to Impact Diversity in the Creative Arts Industries
LOS ANGELES, CA, April 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Pacific Bridge Arts Foundation (PBA) names Annie V. Lam, Principal of Lam Consulting Group, as Executive Director, effective immediately. Lam will be PBA’s first Executive Director in the growing Foundation’s history.
“I am excited and honored to assume the role of Executive Director for Pacific Bridge Arts,” said Annie V. Lam. “We are at a pivotal moment in history for diversity and representation in all industries and sectors. As the organization’s first Executive Director, I plan to pave a solid foundation for PBA’s work towards a more inclusive future for the arts and entertainment industries—one that will uplift future generations of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders and empower them to thrive and excel as creative artists whose identities and cultures will be honored and valued.”
“Annie has been with Pacific Bridge Arts since the very beginning, when all we had was a vision,” said PBA Co-Chair Kevin Nishimura of Far East Movement. “In partnership with Annie, PBA’s impact on AANHPIs in music, arts and culture has grown exponentially. We are confident that Annie’s transformative leadership will take PBA’s work to new heights and change the face of the creative arts industry for generations to come.”
Lam brings nearly 20 years of nonprofit and government experience to PBA and is an expert in the areas of organizational change, leadership, advocacy, social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition to her work with PBA, Lam has scaled and transformed multiple non-profit organizations that have made significant impact on the representation of women, system-impacted groups, and communities of color in the areas of electoral politics, public policy, and leadership.
PBA launched in 2016 as an effort to unify the City of Los Angeles’ AANHPI community through music, arts, and culture with the IDENTITY LA festival event. Since then PBA has expanded to include a scholarship to support AANHPI students pursuing a college degree in the musical arts as well as a partnership with the GRAMMY Museum to increase opportunities for AANHPI high school students to participate in the Museum’s distinguished GRAMMY Camp summer program.
