LAFAYETTE, LA, September 17, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Local attorney and youth speaker Craig Hill will address a multi-denominational group of seminary professors, theologians, students and pastors at an upcoming conference held in Knoxville, Tennessee. Hill, a veteran youth speaker, regularly speaks at churches and gatherings. However, in October he will address church leaders from all over the nation on the topic: “The church has left the building!” Hill’s topic deals with the more than 40 million people who were raised in church and no longer attend. Hill, an attorney with the American Christian Legal Society focuses on research regarding trends and developments among American Christians. The conference will take place October 13-17, 2021 and is sponsored by the Northwest School of Theology.
“Sadly, today’s church system is perfectly designed to get the results we are now getting,” Hill said. Hill believes we have attempted in our own flesh to “policy and procedure” a solution to church participation which will never work. The first century Christian church flourished amidst persecution. Churches were not about entertainment but focused on the love Jesus in a world filled with chaos. The gospel means “good news” and sadly what is heard in many churches is anything but “good news”. Hill is an advocate of getting back to the basics found in the early church. “God is love and love looks like Jesus,” accounts Hill. The gospel message of what Jesus has done for His creation is simple and straightforward. It really is good news and as Hill often tells young adults; “God not only loves you, but He likes you too”. God’s love as demonstrated in Jesus on the cross if shared correctly will draw all men unto himself according to scripture.
Craig Hill is a member of the Christian Legal Society. Hill is first and foremost a Christian but he is also a practicing attorney at Jones & Hill Law and frequent speaker at church and youth assemblies throughout Louisiana.
