Dolph Lundgren of the Expendables franchise prepares to direct and star in a passion project script titled “Wanted Man”, written with fellow action actor Michael Worth. The border centered thriller aims for an early 2022 start
LOS ANGELES, CA, October 31, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — “The Expendables” franchise and “Aquaman” star Dolph Lundgren is set to star and direct the action thriller “Wanted Man” for a February 2022 start. The feature will be produced by Millennium Media, further cast and crew yet to be announced.
Lundgren writes the script as well along with actor and director Michael Worth who starred in the Millennium (formerly Nu Image) produced “US SEALS 2”. The script has been a long rumored project for Lundgren, he and Worth working on the project as far back as 2011.
The official synopsis “When a cartel shooting leaves several DEA agents dead, an aging police officer must retrieve an eyewitness and escort her across the border. But when they learn that the attack was executed by American forces, he must decide who to trust.” Worth has mentioned in past articles the story will feature “timely topics” and a “unique faulty character” for Lundgren to play.
Lundgren has handled directing/acting duties before including the upcoming action film “Castle Falls”. He is also appearing with Sylvester Stallone in a limited release of “Rocky 4: Rocky vs Drago” director’s cut in November. Worth can currently be seen in his own directorial effort “Apple Seed”, a road trip drama with the late Rance Howard.
