Increased demand motivates firm to add additional public Webinars to its October schedule after participants share how this Webinar will affect their college decisions
DALLAS, TX, October 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Planning for college is an exciting time for both students and parents, but it’s also one of the biggest financial decisions they will ever make. Unfortunately, many feel lost as they navigate today’s complex college landscape, which leaves them vulnerable to misinformation, misdirection, and false narratives.
That’s why the LFE Institute, an unbiased Financial Wellness firm for nearly three decades, now specializes exclusively in designing College Planning educational content families won’t find anywhere else. Its new one-hour ‘10 College Traps to Avoid‘ Webinar has quickly become one of its most popular solutions.
“The challenge for families today is that college traps are continually changing, and COVID has accelerated not only the pace of these changes, but the costs associated with them,” states Alice Whinnery, Founder and CEO of the LFE Institute. “This has resulted in too many parents and even grandparents jeopardizing their financial future to pay for college, and mired in more debt than anticipated.”
This Webinar is already scheduled well into 2022 by LFE’s Partners who will privately host it for their clients, employees, members, etc. However, through the end of October – College Month – LFE is hosting public Webinars for college-bound families everywhere.
“The goal for this course is to educate families before they make costly mistakes, pay thousands more than necessary, or commit to more parent PLUS loans than they can afford to repay,” says Whinnery. “And we’re pleased to announce the results indicate we’re accomplishing this objective.”
In fact, the feedback has been so positive, the firm added more public Webinars through the end of the month. Some participants stated they were aware of many of the traps but over 90% still found the Webinar very beneficial; others found much of the information was totally new to them.
“So eye-opening – hadn’t realized how some colleges are setting students up to fail.” – Carl Garcia, Chicago, IL
“Trap #6 really hit home. My son dropped two of his ‘Match’ schools after attending this class. What a mistake attending either of them would have been.” – Kit Butler, St. Louis, MO
“My oldest student fell for trap #2 and it cost me $32,000. Now that I know why, I won’t make the same mistake with the other two!” – Kay Jacobson, Phoenix, AZ
“This is just what my clients with college-bound students need to hear” – Tom Keller, Money Coach, Atlanta, GA
“My wife and I are both college grads so thought we knew how to make informed college decisions for our two kids, but apparently there’s a lot we didn’t know. Just learning some of the key questions we should ask was extremely beneficial.” – Jordan Smith, Dallas, TX
“Our son is a first-generation college student, so we have spent hours researching and talking with academic advisors, and yet this is the first we’ve heard many of these traps.” – Lou Lopez, Houston, TX
“We fell for 4 [traps] with our oldest daughter without realizing it and now owe $65,000 in PLUS loans. We won’t make the same mistakes with our son now that we’re aware of what to avoid.” Yee Su, New York, NY
“My advisor recommended this class, and so glad he did. I’m one of those parents who fell for #9 with my oldest but definitely won’t make that mistake with my daughter.” Beth Roberts, Miami, FL
