LOS ANGELES, CA, May 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Preview In Daegu 2021 (PID), the largest textile material business exhibition in Korea hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industry Association (Chairman Cho Jung-moon), will be held for three days on May 12-14.

Considering the COVID-19 situation, the exhibition held in March every year will be held temporarily in May this year. In this year’s PID, is a total of 194 companies (169 Korean, 25 overseas) participated, introducing various new materials in yarn & textiles, home decor & living materials, and K-quarantine materials.

To provide effective marketing support between overseas buyers and exhibitors who cannot meet in person due to the pandemic, about 1,500 exhibiting items and detailed company information can be viewed simultaneously in online digital showrooms and 3D virtual exhibition halls. This solution is expected to receive great reviews among participants and overseas buyers.

PID Online Business Day has been held in advance from April 20, providing various business services such as promotional videos and exhibited products to overseas buyers in more than 20 countries. Also, with the online platform that allows real-time consultation and making meeting reservations, the organizer sought business boom-up effect and new exhibition possibilities. The online exhibition for overseas buyers will be held until May 21, and the organizer will support overseas marketing throughout the year by uploading the materials from exhibitors.

Especially, for three days of the exhibition, a showroom-type video consultation center will be installed in the exhibition hall and Dalian, China to provide real-time business consultation, and video matching conferences will be held with major overseas buyers in the US, India, the Middle East, and Asia.

The main theme of this year’s exhibition is “sustainable refresh to the future.” The exhibition focuses on health, safety, and health issues in response to the post-COVID era. and deals with issues related to biodegradation, recyclability, recyclable renewable resources. As the consumer demand for health-conscious and safe textile materials that are anti-virus and anti-bacterial, the exhibition provides new marketing opportunities to respond to the changes in the market trend.

With the aim of leading the global eco-friendly trend, Hyosung TNC will prepare a unique exhibition hall jointly with North Face which supplies a waste PET bottle recycling yarn regen®jeju, and introduce products made in collaboration with the athleisure brand XEXYMIX. Also, various items will be presented through constructive growth between 17 subcontractors and companies.

Also, major Korean companies such as Youngone Trading, Seong-an, R&D Textile, One Chang Material, Deokwoo Industries, Hoshin Textiles, Baek San Jacquard, Haewon Trade, and Youngdo Velvet are also participating.

Korea Textile Development Institute is composed of four theme halls: eco-friendly green, health and safety, digital industrial convergence, and high-tech super, and presents R&D achievements of companies participating in the local private-led local business promotion project.

With the concept of green & digital innovation in textile materials, Dyetec promotes the virtual engineering, AI, and big data platform construction projects underway at the research institute, and exhibits materials presented by companies and R&D projects.

Korean textile marketing support organizations such as Daegu Textile Marketing Center (DMC), Korea Textile Center (KTC), and G-TEXTOPIA (GTC) are also participating to actively support member companies’ counseling.

With the focus on safety and health due to COVID-19, interest and demand for health-conscious and safe textile materials have rapidly increased. In line with this, Gyeongbuk Technopark prepared “K-quarantine Gyeongbuk, Health-conscious and Safe Textile Product Pavilion” and displayed the materials and products in the region that are related to health and safety.
Various K-quarantine products from KSNT, a company specializing in safety human protective clothing industry using airbags, Sutex with fabric-type protective clothing materials, Sealon with seam sealing tape material for medical and protective clothing, Sueco Advanced Material ‘s four-layer filter mask blocking fine dust, and Dominique’s antibacterial fabric surgical clothing and masks, will be displayed to attract visitors’ attention.

Daegu area bedding companies, Arumaru, Sein Industries, Hanbit Bedding, Casabella, Hankwang, Nlpozam, and Sunny Bedding, participated to display a variety of eco-friendly bedding materials and functional products to seek premium market of local bedding industry and textiles for everyday life.

Korean buyers who are major domestic brands and sports brands such as Shinsung Tongsang, Fashion Group Hyungji, Shinwon Group, Wivis, Baba Fashion, Youngone Outdoor, Sae-A Commercial, Hansae Industries, Hansung FI, Pan-Pacific Group, Evezary, Andar, and XEXYMIX participated, and also buyers from Dongdaemun Shopping Center and designers for the Korean market, anticipating for active consultations.

As an event, Youngdo Velvet will be running an experience program called “Velvet, the Happy Life” at the booth, and present velvet scarf to the first 20 people who come to the booth every day. In addition, it will run a live YouTube broadcasting in real time to promote the exhibitors at the exhibition site.

This real-time live will be held from May 12 (Wed) to 13 (Thursday), and will be broadcast for two days from 11am to 4pm. Those who pre-register for the event Preview in Daegu LIVE will be eligible to enter the live broadcasting connection event.
